MARINES HELPING MARINES – WOUNDED MARINES PROGRAM

The MCL Marines Helping Marines Fund is a dedicated outreach initiative of the Marine Corps League, created to provide meaningful support to injured and recovering United States Marines. Rooted in the League’s enduring commitment to “Marines Helping Marines,” this program ensures that wounded service members and their families receive assistance, encouragement, and connection during challenging times.

Supporting Our Wounded Heroes

The program was established to directly support injured Marine Corps personnel receiving treatment at leading military medical facilities, including:

  • National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland
  • Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC
  • Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas
  • Naval Medical Center San Diego (commonly known as Balboa)
  • Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton
  • And other military medical facilities where Marines are recovering

The Wounded Marines Program works in close coordination with the Wounded Warrior Regiment to ensure support efforts complement existing military resources and directly address the needs of each individual Marine.

Comprehensive Scope of Support

The Marines Helping Marines Fund is designed to provide both practical assistance and morale-building experiences. The scope of support includes:

Financial Assistance

  • Emergency financial relief for wounded Marines and their families
  • Supplemental assistance for unforeseen expenses during recovery
  • Support tailored to individual needs not otherwise covered

Personal Visits & Encouragement

  • Regular visits from Marine Corps League members
  • Fellowship, mentorship, and continued connection to the Marine Corps family
  • Emotional support and camaraderie during rehabilitation

A Commitment That Endures

Recovery from injury is not only a physical journey but an emotional and financial one as well. The Marines Helping Marines Fund exists to stand in the gap — ensuring that no wounded Marine feels forgotten or alone.

Through financial aid, personal engagement, and morale-enhancing experiences, the Marine Corps League continues its mission of honoring service by caring for those who have borne the battle.

Marines Helping Marines — because the bond never ends.
